FALLS MN...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR MARCH WAS 29.2 DEGREES WHICH WAS 5.6
DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 23.6 DEGREES MAKING THIS THE 8TH WARMEST
MARCH IN STATION HISTORY. THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS
61 DEGREES ON THE 11TH. THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE WAS -17 DEGREES ON
THE 1ST. THREE DAILY TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE BROKEN AND ONE WAS
TIED FOR THE MONTH OF MARCH. THE RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 61
DEGREES RECORDED ON THE 11TH. THIS TIES THE OLD RECORD SET IN 2012.
THE RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE OF 60 DEGREES WAS RECORDED ON THE 12TH.

THE AVERAGE WIND SPEED FOR THE MONTH WAS 5.6 MPH. THE WINDIEST DAY
FOR THE MONTH WAS ON THE 15TH WITH AN AVERAGE WIND OF 9.5 MPH. THE
HIGHEST SUSTAINED WIND OCCURRED ON THE 31ST WITH A SPEED OF 22 MPH
OUT OF THE NORTH NORTHWEST. A PEAK GUST OF 31 MPH FROM THE SOUTH
SOUTHWEST WAS RECORDED ON THE 13TH. THERE WERE 1103 HEATING DEGREE
DAYS FOR THE MONTH WHICH WAS 180 BELOW THE NORMAL OF 1283. THIS

LOWS FOR THE MONTH START IN THE LOW 20S AND WARM TO THE LOW TO MID
30S AT THE END OF THE MONTH. NORMAL PRECIPITATION FOR APRIL IS 1.53
INCHES. NORMAL SNOWFALL FOR APRIL IS 6.4 INCHES. NEAR NORMAL
TEMPERATURES AND BELOW NORMAL PRECIPITATION ARE FORECASTED FOR
APRIL.
