AN UNSEASONABLY MOIST AND COOL WEATHER SYSTEM WILL BRING PERIODS
OF MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL THROUGH PORTIONS OF NORTH CENTRAL
MONTANA MONDAY NIGHT AND EARLY TUESDAY. THIS SYSTEM HAS THE
POTENTIAL TO CREATE SOME AREAS OF MINOR FLOODING NEAR SMALL CREEKS
AND STREAMS.

TUESDAY MORNING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GREAT FALLS HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR A PORTION OF NORTH CENTRAL MONTANA...
  INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING BLAINE...CHOUTEAU AND ...HILL.

* FROM 6 PM MDT THIS EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING

A MOIST AND COOL WEATHER SYSTEM WILL BRING PERIODS OF MODERATE TO
HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH EARLY TUESDAY. RAINFALL
AMOUNTS GREATER THAN 1.3 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE OVER THE REGION
THROUGH NOON TUESDAY...WITH UP TO 2.5 INCHES POSSIBLE OVER THE
BEARS PAW MOUNTAINS AND NORTHERN PORTIONS OF BLAINE COUNTY.

RAINFALL RATES MAY OVERWHELM SOIL ABSORPTION RATES AND CAUSE
MINOR FLOODING NEAR SMALL CREEKS AND STREAMS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS MAY DEVELOP THAT LEAD
TO FLASH FLOODING. FLASH FLOODING IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR LATER FORECASTS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE ACTION
SHOULD FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS BE ISSUED.
