...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 AM EDT FOR
NORTHWESTERN MONTOUR...SOUTHEASTERN LYCOMING...NORTHEASTERN UNION AND
NORTHWESTERN NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTIES...

AT 1044 PM EDT...LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORTED MINOR FLOODING IN
SOUTHERN LYCOMING COUNTY DUE TO THUNDERSTORMS. MOST OF THE RAIN HAS
MOVED TO THE EAST OF THE AREA...BUT HEAVY SHOWERS ARE LINGERING
RIGHT OVER THE LOCATIONS WHICH HAVE RECEIVED THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL.
A WIDESPREAD TWO TO THREE INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY FALLEN. FLASH
FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN SHORTLY.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
MILTON...ALLENWOOD...DELAWARE RUN...EXCHANGE...FOREST HILL...
LAIRDSVILLE...MUNCY...NEW COLUMBIA...SAND BRIDGE STATE PARK...SPRUCE
RUN RESERVOIR...WATSONTOWN...MCEWENSVILLE...TURBOTVILLE...
WASHINGTONVILLE AND WEST MILTON.

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF LESS THAN AN INCH ARE POSSIBLE IN THE
WARNED AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING.

TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.
