Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central Pennsylvania
National Weather Service State College PA
518 AM EST Tue Feb 21 2017

.DISCUSSION...
A weak cold front will push into the far northwest part of
the state late today, before sagging slowly southeast
across the rest of the region tonight and early Wednesday.
This weather feature will be preceded, and accompanied by
one or two brief periods of mainly light rain showers.

For the second half of this week, unseasonably mild
air will push back into the district from the southwest,
as a wavering and nearly stationary frontal boundary stays just
to our north.

Strengthening low pressure will move northeast across the
Upper Great Lakes late Friday into early Saturday. The cold
front trailing south from this low will bring showers, and
perhaps even a few...to several hour period of steady rain
during the day Saturday. Gusty west wind of 35 to 45 mph
will likely develop in the wake of the front Saturday into
Saturday night.
