Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
413 AM CDT Sun Sep 24 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Upper level ridging, along with surface high pressure centered
across the eastern Great Lakes, will control the weather across
Northern Alabama into the mid week. Sufficient moisture and
instability resulting from daytime heating, could result in
isolated showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Showers will
be more likely across northwestern Alabama, with gusty winds,
lightning, and brief heavy rain the main threat. Any storms
that form should dissipate by the evening.

Dry weather is expected on Monday. High and low temperatures
today and on Monday will range in the mid/upper 80s, well
above seasonable norms of around 81. Fair to Generally Good
smoke dispersion rates are forecast through Monday.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy fog is possible
this morning, especially in the sheltered locations and where
rainfall recently occurred. Additional patchy late night/early
morning fog again is possible Monday morning.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
