FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL/EASTERN AND SOUTHEASTERN IL
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LINCOLN IL
341 AM CDT MON OCT 20 2014

.DISCUSSION...

A WEAK FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL PASS THROUGH CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST ILLINOIS
FROM THIS MORNING INTO EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. A FEW MORNING
SPRINKLES ARE POSSIBLE SOUTH OF I-70. SOUTHWEST WINDS EARLY IN THE
DAY WILL BECOME NORTHWEST BY AFTERNOON AS THE FRONT SETTLES SOUTH
OF THE OHIO RIVER. AFTER THAT...HIGH PRESSURE WILL DOMINATE THE
WEATHER ON TUESDAY...PROVIDING DRY CONDITIONS WITH A LIGHT
NORTHERLY BREEZE.

LOW MIXING HEIGHTS THIS MORNING WILL INCREASE TO 4000 FEET OR
BETTER BEHIND THE FRONT...WHICH WILL HELP PROVIDE GOOD SMOKE
DISPERSION ALONG WITH THE BREEZY NORTHWEST WINDS. SMOKE DISPERSION
WILL NOT BE AS GOOD ON TUESDAY DUE TO LIGHTER WINDS AND MIXING
HEIGHTS FALLING BACK TOWARD 3000 FEET.

QUIET/DRY WEATHER IS ANTICIPATED THROUGH THE WEEK. TEMPERATURES
SHOULD AVERAGE AT OR ABOVE NORMAL MOST DAYS.
