Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern Kentucky

.DISCUSSION...High pressure will keep dry conditions in place today
as temperatures warm into the upper 70s to near 80 degrees. Showers
and thunderstorms will increase in coverage, beginning tonight through
the upcoming Memorial Day weekend. Some of these storms may become
severe, along with producing heavy rainfall. Southwest winds will top
out near 10 mph through the weekend, except underneath thunderstorms
where higher gusts will occur. Drier weather should move back into
eastern Kentucky by later Memorial Day.
