FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LOS ANGELES/OXNARD CA
301 PM PST MON MAR 2 2015

...COLD STORM SYSTEM EXITING THE DISTRICT TUESDAY MORNING...
...WARM AND DRY WEATHER RETURNS LATER IN THE WEEK...

.DISCUSSION...SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WITH SMALL HAIL
WILL CONTINUE THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT BEFORE EXITING THE FIRE
DISTRICT TUESDAY MORNING. LOCALLY HEAVY DOWNPOURS WILL BE POSSIBLE
UNTIL THIS ACTIVITY SETTLES DOWN. HIGH PRESSURE WILL BEGIN TO
BUILD ACROSS THE EASTERN PACIFIC OCEAN TUESDAY WITH NORTHERLY FLOW
ACROSS CALIFORNIA. A WEAK SUNDOWNER IS ANTICIPATED TUESDAY
EVENING ACROSS SANTA BARBARA COUNTY FOR THE SANTA YNEZ MOUNTAIN
PASSES AND CANYONS...BUT WIND SPEEDS LOOK BELOW ADVISORY LEVEL AND
WILL BE SHORTLIVED.

HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD OVER NORTHERN CALIFORNIA LATE IN THE WEEK
WITH LIGHT OFFSHORE FLOW BRINGING LOWER HUMIDITIES AND WARMER
TEMPERATURES TO THE DISTRICT. EXPECT TEENS AND ISOLATED SINGLE
DIGIT HUMIDITIES BY FRIDAY WITH TEMPERATURES PUSHING OVER 80
DEGREES ACROSS INLAND VALLEYS.

THE RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL PERSIST INTO THE WEEKEND...
ALTHOUGH HIGHER CLOUDS COULD INCREASE BY SUNDAY. IT IS LOOKING
MORE PROMISING FOR A WET PATTERN TO DEVELOP BY MIDWEEK ACROSS THE
ENTIRE DISTRICT.
