.DISCUSSION...
Warm and dry conditions will increase fire weather concerns through
Thursday. Min rh/s generally 14 to 20 percent across most areas today
however 20 foot winds will remain below critical thresholds. Wednesday,
critical fire weather conditions expected in the Guadalupe Mountains
with 20 foot winds 20 to 25 mph and min rh/s 10 to 15 percent. Elsewhere,
only elevated fire weather conditions expected with lighter winds in
place. West winds increase across much of the region Thursday with dry
conditions continuing. As a result, critical fire weather conditions
are expected for Southeast New Mexico and much of West Texas.
