Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
320 PM PDT Tue Oct 17 2017

Corrected DISCUSSION wording...

...Moderate to strong and gusty winds expected at most locations
Thursday...

.DISCUSSION...
Diurnal temperature ranges will gradually lower and 24 hour RH
trends will gradually rise through Wednesday as winds gradually
increase, especially on the upper slopes and ridges. Wednesday
night through Thursday moderate to strong and gusty south winds
will occur at most locations. The strong frontal system driving
these winds will bring wetting rainfall spreading from the coast
to the Cascades during the day on Thursday, and then across the
east side Thursday night into Friday. Snow levels are expected to
fall to 4,000 and 5,000 feet Friday. Another frontal system will
bring more rain this weekend. Warmer and drier conditions are
expected to begin early next week.
