FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS...
NORTHWEST LOUISIANA...EAST TEXAS...AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SHREVEPORT LA
631 AM CST FRI DEC 2 2016

.DISCUSSION...
ONE MORE DRY DAY AHEAD BEFORE RAIN SETTLES BACK ACROSS THE REGION
FOR THE WEEKEND AND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. TWO TO FOUR INCH AMOUNTS
LOOK LIKELY ACROSS THE WHOLE AREA WITH HIGHER AMOUNTS CLOSER TO
SIX INCHES POSSIBLE OVER THE EAST TEXAS AND NORTH LOUISIANA FIRE
DISTRICTS. THIS EVENT WILL HELP TO EASE...IF NOT ELIMINATE...THE
DROUGHT ACROSS MUCH OF THE REGION DUE TO THE SUSTAINED PERIOD OF
RAINFALL FROM SATURDAY THROUGH MONDAY. WINDS WILL RANGE FROM NEAR
5-10 MPH AND MAINTAIN A PRIMARY EASTERLY COMPONENT THROUGH MUCH OF
THE WEEKEND. MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES WILL AVERAGE AROUND
40 PERCENT THIS AFTERNOON BEFORE CLIMBING WELL ABOVE 50 PERCENT
AFTER TODAY WITH THE INCREASING CLOUDS AND RAINFALL.
