.DISCUSSION...
BROAD SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE WILL LINGER OVER THE SOUTHEAST, WHILE A
SURFACE LOW TRACKS ALONG A STATIONARY FRONT ACROSS THE MID-ATLANTIC.
THIS FRONT WILL SAG SOUTH INTO OUR AREA THIS WEEKEND AND EARLY NEXT
WEEK. ANOTHER FRONT WILL APPROACH BY THE END OF NEXT WEEK, KEEPING
AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORM CHANCES ELEVATED.

THE MAIN CONCERN WILL BE THE THUNDERSTORMS THIS EVENING. SCATTERED TO
NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS WILL MOVE IN FROM SOUTHEAST TENNESSEE THROUGH
THE MIDDLE PART OF THE EVENING. RAIN COULD ARRIVE AS EARLY AS 630 PM,
BUT IS MORE LIKELY BETWEEN 8 PM AND 11 PM. THE STORMS SHOULD MOVE FROM
THE WEST SOUTHWEST TO THE EAST NORTHEAST. CLOUD-TO-GROUND LIGHTNING
AND GUSTY WINDS ARE THE MAIN THREAT.
