SPOT FORECAST FOR HAVEN LAKE...WASHINGTON DNR
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SEATTLE WA
643 PM PDT WED AUG 20 2014

FORECAST IS BASED ON REQUEST TIME OF 1819 PDT ON AUGUST 20.
IF CONDITIONS BECOME UNREPRESENTATIVE...CONTACT THE NATIONAL WEATHER
SERVICE IN SEATTLE.

.DISCUSSION...A DEEPENING UPPER LEVEL TROUGH AND ONSHORE FLOW WILL
BE THE DOMINANT WEATHER FEATURES FOR THE BULK OF THIS WEEK.
THIS COMBINATION WILL ALLOW FOR BELOW AVERAGE AFTERNOON HIGH
TEMPERATURES AND THE SLIGHT CHANCE FOR LIGHT PRECIPITATION OVER
PORTIONS OF WESTERN WASHINGTON...WITH THE BEST CHANCES OVER THE
MOUNTAINS. AS THIS UPPER LEVEL TROUGH DEEPENS FURTHER ON
FRIDAY...INSTABILITY OVER THE CASCADES MAY GIVE RISE TO THE
POTENTIAL FOR WET THUNDERSTORMS. THE TROUGH IS EXPECTED TO SHIFT
EAST THIS WEEKEND ALLOWING FOR TEMPERATURES TO REBOUND TO NEAR
SEASONAL NORMALS.

FORECAST FOR 20 FOOT WIND SPEED (VALLEYS AND RIDGE TOPS) ARE 10
