.DISCUSSION...A WEAK DISTURBANCE WILL MOVE ACROSS THE NORTHERN GREAT
BASIN TODAY BRINGING A SLIGHT INCREASE IN SOUTH SOUTHWEST WINDS THIS
AFTERNOON. AS THE MAIN TROUGH FOR THE WEEKEND BEGINS TO DEEPEN OVER
CALIFORNIA FRIDAY OUR SOUTH WINDS WILL INCREASE SUBSTANTIALLY WITH GUSTS
TO 35-45 MPH POSSIBLE BY AFTERNOON. RAIN WILL HOLD OFF UNTIL FRIDAY
NIGHT...PROBABLY UNTIL AFTER MIDNIGHT. THE BRUNT OF THE RAIN/SNOW WILL
COME SATURDAY. TOTAL PRECIP AMOUNTS OF 0.60 TO 0.90 OF AN INCH
ARE POSSIBLE. THE ASSOCIATED COLD FRONT IS EXPECTED BETWEEN 1000 AND
1400 MDT SATURDAY. SNOW LEVEL WILL LOWER TO NEAR 6500-7000 FT BY
SATURDAY MIDDAY. SNOW TOTALS ARE EXPECTED TO BE 2 TO 6 INCHES ABOVE
7000 FT.
