THE AREAS AFFECTED INCLUDE...
  TIDAL POTOMAC FROM KEY BRIDGE TO INDIAN HEAD MD...

AT 602 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A THUNDERSTORM... CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING WINDS UP TO 30 KNOTS. THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED OVER
REAGAN NATIONAL AIRPORT. THE THUNDERSTORM WAS NEARLY STATIONARY OR
DRIFTING NORTHWARD.

THE STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL BE NEAR...
  TIDAL BASIN AROUND 635 PM EDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...LIGHTNING STRIKES...AND HEAVY DOWNPOURS. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK
SAFE HARBOR IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THIS STORM PASSES.

INTENSE LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THIS STORM. IF CAUGHT ON THE OPEN
WATER STAY BELOW DECK IF POSSIBLE...KEEP AWAY FROM UNGROUNDED METAL
OBJECTS.
