...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR PORTIONS OF THE STATE
THROUGH THIS EVENING...

.Strong high pressure north of the islands will produce locally
strong trade winds across Lanai, Kahoolawe, and over and downwind
of the Kohala mountains on the Big Island through this evening.
The strong winds are not expected in and around Hilo.

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM HST THIS EVENING...

* TIMING...Through this evening.

* WINDS...East to northeast 20 to 30 mph, with gusts up to 50
  mph.

* IMPACTS...Winds this strong can cause tree limbs to break,
  potentially leading to localized power outages. Driving may
  become difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of at least 30 mph, or
gusts of at least 50 mph, are expected. Motorists should use
extra caution while driving. Participants in outdoor activities
should be alert for wind-borne debris.
