SATURDAY...

.HIGH WINDS WILL BE POSSIBLE AS A COLD FRONT PUSHES ACROSS THE
REGION ON SATURDAY. STRONGEST GUSTS WITH DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE
POSSIBLE LATE SATURDAY MORNING INTO SATURDAY AFTERNOON. THE WINDY
CONDITIONS ARE ALSO EXPECTED TO PRODUCE AREAS OF BLOWING DUST WITH
REDUCED VISIBILITY.

SATURDAY EVENING...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SPOKANE HAS ISSUED A HIGH WIND
WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING THROUGH SATURDAY
EVENING.

* WINDS...SOUTHWEST 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS TO BETWEEN 50 TO 60
  MPH...EXCEPT GUSTS UP TO 60 TO 70 MPH POSSIBLE IN THE MOUNTAINS.

* TIMING...WINDS WILL INCREASE SATURDAY MORNING AND PEAK BY THE
  EARLY AFTERNOON HOURS. WINDS WILL RELAX SATURDAY EVENING.

* IMPACTS...HIGH WINDS MAY RESULT IN IN TOPPLED TREES AND DOWNED
  POWER LINES. STRONG CROSS WINDS WILL RESULT IN HAZARDOUS TRAVEL
  FOR HIGH PROFILE VEHICLES...ESPECIALLY ALONG INTERSTATE 90 AND
  ALONG HIGHWAY 2. WINDS WILL ALSO PRODUCE BLOWING DUST ACROSS THE
  BASIN INTO THE SURROUNDING VALLEYS. BLOWING DUST MAY RESULT IN
  VISIBILITY REDUCED TO ONE QUARTER MILE AT TIMES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH WIND WATCH MEANS THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR A HAZARDOUS
HIGH WIND EVENT. SUSTAINED WINDS OF AT LEAST 40 MPH...OR GUSTS OF
58 MPH OR STRONGER MAY OCCUR. CONTINUE TO MONITOR THE LATEST
FORECASTS.
