MONDAY...
...AREAS OF NEAR FREEZING TEMPERATURES WITH AREAS OF
FROST FOR MONDAY NIGHT AND TUESDAY NIGHT IN THE VALLEYS...

.A cold low pressure system from the north will bring periods of
strong and gusty westerly winds through Monday. As the storm
moves east, cold nights will follow, with areas of frost and
freezing conditions for portions of the valleys and through the
San Gorgonio Pass.

...FROST ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM TUESDAY TO 8 AM
PST WEDNESDAY...

* Temperature...Falling into the upper 20s to mid 30s for late
  Monday night into Tuesday morning...and into the 30s for late
  Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

* Duration...Several hours of temperatures sufficient for frost
  each night with 4 to 6 hours of temperatures near or below
  freezing in the colder locations For late Monday night into
  Tuesday morning..

* Location...Coldest temperatures in low-lying, wind-sheltered
  areas...especially in southern and eastern portions of the
  Inland Empire.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.

A Frost Advisory means that widespread frost is expected.
Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.

* Winds...Southwest to west winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 50
  mph. Local gusts to 65 mph.

* Timing...Winds strengthening today with the strongest winds
  late this afternoon through late tonight.

* Location...Strongest winds near the foothills of the mountains.

* Visibility...Reduced in blowing dust and sand at times.

* Impacts...Strong winds will make travel difficult for high-
  profile vehicles. Blowing dust and sand may reduce visibility
  to near-zero in a few locations

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring.  Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts
of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage.

* Temperatures...Falling into the lower to mid 30s for late
  Monday night into Tuesday morning with areas of frost
  possible.

* Duration...Several hours with temperatures sufficient for frost
  late Monday night into Tuesday morning..

* Impacts...Strong winds will make travel difficult for high-
  profile vehicles. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if
  left uncovered.

  the mountains.

* Impacts...Strong winds will make travel difficult for high-
  profile vehicles. Watch for broken tree limbs and downed palm
  fronds. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left
  uncovered.

* Outlook...Patchy frost is also possible late Tuesday night
  into Wednesday morning...mainly for the inland valleys near
  the foothills of the mountains.
