.DISCUSSION...

A COLD FRONT WILL SINK SOUTHEASTERLY ACROSS THE AREA TODAY. THE
MAIN RESULT WILL BE A QUICK NORTH TO NORTHEASTERLY SHIFT IN THE
WINDS. TEMPERATURES AHEAD OF THE COLD FRONT WILL STILL BE ABLE TO
GET INTO THE LOW 90S ACROSS CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA...WITH RELATIVE
HUMIDITY VALUES FALLING INTO THE LOW 30 PERCENT RANGE WEST RIVER.
MID TO LATE AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE MAINLY
SOUTHEAST OF A LINE FROM PIERRE TO ABERDEEN...WITH A FEW OF THEM
BECOMING STRONG TO SEVERE...WITH LARGE HAIL AND STRONG WINDS BEING
THE MAIN THREATS.

DRY HIGH PRESSURE SHOULD THEN TAKE HOLD LATE THIS EVENING THROUGH
MUCH OF THE WORK WEEK. TEMPERATURES DURING THIS TIME WILL HOVER NEAR
SEASONAL NORMAL VALUES...WITH HIGHS IN THE UPPER 80S WEST TO UPPER
70S EAST.

ARE USUALLY LOWER AND THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY IS HIGHER.
