THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN RENO HAS CANCELLED THIS FIRE
WEATHER WATCH. ISOLATED DRY THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP THIS
AFTERNOON OVER NORTHEAST CALIFORNIA, BUT PUSH QUICKLY TO THE EAST
INTO NEVADA. THEREFORE BASED ON A REDUCED TIME WINDOW OF STORMS
PRODUCING NEW LIGHTNING STARTS THE WATCH IS CANCELLED FOR
CALIFORNIA FIRE WEATHER ZONE 271.

WARNING FOR DRY THUNDERSTORMS AND ERRATIC OUTFLOW WINDS, WHICH IS
IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 9 PM PDT THIS EVENING.

* AFFECTED AREA...FIRE ZONE 270 SURPRISE VALLEY CALIFORNIA, FIRE
  ZONE 278 EASTERN LASSEN COUNTY AND FIRE ZONE 458 NORTHERN
  WASHOE COUNTY.

* THUNDERSTORMS...ISOLATED TO SCATTERED DRY THUNDERSTORMS ARE
  EXPECTED TO DEVELOP EARLY TO MID AFTERNOON LASTING INTO THE
  EARLY EVENING.

* OUTFLOW WINDS...ERRATIC AND SUDDEN WIND GUSTS 35-50 MPH ARE
  LIKELY WITH LOCALLY HIGHER GUSTS POSSIBLE IN THE DESERT AREAS.

* IMPACTS...LIGHTNING CAN CREATE NEW FIRE STARTS AND MAY COMBINE

  TOWARD HIGHWAY 95 BY LATE AFTERNOON OR EARLY EVENING.
