DAILY RIVER AND LAKE SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAUNTON MA
1230 PM EDT MON MAY 30 2016

Bands of showers moved through the region early this morning, spreading
northward from the remains of Tropical Depression Bonnie located over
the Carolinas. The bulk of the tropical rainfall this morning was across
Rhode Island and southeast Massachusetts. Rainfall totals through Noon
today ranged from around 1 to 2 inches across Rhode Island and southeast
Massachusetts, with lesser amounts elsewhere.

There will be a lull in the rainfall this afternoon with sunshine peeking
through the clouds, especially across western sections. Another round of
scattered showers with isolated thunderstorms is expected to move across
the region later this afternoon and evening. For tonight, showers could
linger across Cape Cod and the islands, but diminish elsewhere. Additional
rainfall of 0.50 to 1.00 inch is possible.

Tuesday will unfold to be dry and warm and continue into Wednesday.

A few area main stem river levels will experience slight rises over the
next 24 to 48 hours, while the rest have levels remaining nearly
stationary.

These forecasts include 24 hour precipitation for the period ending
at 7 am today, and forecast precipitation through 7 am tomorrow.
