An active weather pattern is expected across the northern Plains
the next several days, along with gradually cooling temperatures.

This morning rain was moving through southern North Dakota and
northern South Dakota, with chance of isolated thunderstorms for
this area through the early afternoon hours. Further north light
snow was falling in western North Dakota and eastern Montana. This
will track through northern North Dakota into northwest Minnesota
and southern Manitoba through the day. Southeast North Dakota and
most of northern Minnesota will see a wintry mix with rain further
south.

A strong low pressure system will then bring the possibility of
heavy snow to portions of South Dakota and southern Minnesota
Thursday into Friday.

Highs today will range from the 30s in North Dakota to the lower
60s in southeast Minnesota.
