REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPRINGFIELD MO
446 PM CDT SAT AUG 30 2014

LATE THIS AFTERNOON SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WERE FOUND MAINLY IN
AREAS ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 44. SOME OF THESE STORMS WERE
PRODUCING SMALL HAIL AND HEAVY DOWNPOURS OF RAIN. TEMPERATURES
RANGED FROM THE LOWER 90S IN SOUTHEAST KANSAS TO JUST THE UPPER 70S
IN THE RAIN AREAS IN THE MISSOURI OZARKS. SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS
WILL CONTINUE INTO THE EARLY EVENING BEFORE DIMINISHING. LOOK FOR
OVERNIGHT LOWS TO DROP INTO THE MIDDLE AND UPPER 70S.

SUNDAY LOOKS TO BE A LITTLE WARMER WITH HIGHS IN THE UPPER 80S TO LOWER
90S. AS THE WARM AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES INTERACT WITH A MOIST AND
UNSTABLE AIRMASS OVER THE REGION...AN ISOLATED CHANCE FOR
AFTERNOON SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL REMAIN IN THE FORECAST.

A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE REGION ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY...
BRINGING A GOOD CHANCE FOR SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY INTO
MIDWEEK. WARM CONDITIONS ARE FORECAST TO CONTINUE WITH HIGH
TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 80S TO LOWER 90S.
