A COLD FRONT PUSHED INTO SOUTHERN MISSOURI TODAY WITH SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS OCCURRING ALONG AND AHEAD OF THE FRONT. SOME OF THE
STORMS PRODUCED SOME ISOLATED WIND DAMAGE OVER MCDONALD...JASPER
AND CHEROKEE COUNTIES EARLIER THIS AFTERNOON.

TEMPERATURES TODAY WERE HOT AND HUMID ACROSS THE AREA WITH
TEMPERATURES REACHING THE UPPER 80S TO LOW 90S AND HEAT INDEX
VALUES FROM THE MID 90S TO AROUND 105.

THE THUNDERSTORMS AND FRONT HAD PUSHED SOUTH OF THE AREA EARLY
THIS EVENING. SOME FOG AND LOW CLOUDS HAVE DEVELOPED OVER SOUTHERN
MISSOURI AND THIS WILL LIKELY CONTINUE INTO THE OVERNIGHT HOURS.
TEMPERATURES HAD COOLED BY MID EVENING BACK INTO THE 70S WITH LOWS
TONIGHT EXPECTED IN THE UPPER 50S TO MID 60S.

TEMPERATURES BEHIND THIS COLD FRONT WILL BE SLIGHTLY COOLER ON
THURSDAY...WITH HIGHS GENERALLY IN THE 80S. SOUTHERLY WINDS WILL
RETURN FRIDAY THROUGH THE WEEKEND AND RESULT IN TYPICAL LATE JULY
HEAT AND HUMIDITY. THERE WILL BE ANOTHER CHANCE FOR RAIN BY THE
WEEKEND AS A MORE POTENT COLD FRONT APPROACHES FROM THE NORTH.
