MORNING...

WIDESPREAD RAINFALL WILL DEVELOP ACROSS THE REGION TONIGHT...THEN
ENDING MONDAY MORNING AS A STRONG COLD FRONT SWEEPS WEST TO EAST
ACROSS THE REGION. RAINFALL AMOUNTS ARE FORECAST TO RANGE FROM 1.5
INCHES ACROSS THE EAST FACING MOUNTAIN SLOPES TO AT LEAST A HALF
INCH ACROSS THE FOOTHILLS. TEMPERATURES WILL RAPIDLY COOL IN THE
WAKE OF THE STRONG COLD FRONT. SEVERAL MOUNTAIN AREAS MAY REACH
FREEZING BY MONDAY AFTERNOON...WITH WIDESPREAD FREEZING CONDITIONS
BY MID MONDAY EVENING. MOISTURE FROM THE MORNING MODERATE RAINFALL
WILL LIKELY REMAIN ON PAVED SURFACES AND DECKS. AS SUB FREEZING
TEMPERATURES DEVELOP...PATCHY BLACK ICE WILL RAPIDLY FORM ON
UNTREATED ROADS...BRIDGES...AND WALKWAYS. SLIPPERY CONDITIONS ARE
EXPECTED TO REMAIN UNTIL A COUPLE OF HOURS AFTER SUNRISE ON
TUESDAY.
