AREAS AFFECTED...MUCH OF WRN TX INTO THE HILL COUNTRY

CONCERNING...TORNADO WATCH 234...

VALID 282357Z - 290200Z

THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR TORNADO WATCH 234 CONTINUES.

SUMMARY...NUMEROUS STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO PERSIST INTO CNTRL TX WITH
MAINLY A DAMAGING WIND AND HAIL THREAT. A NEW WATCH MAY BE REQUIRED
ACROSS PORTIONS OF CNTRL TX INTO THE RIO GRANDE VALLEY.

DISCUSSION...STORMS HAVE MERGED INTO MULTIPLE LINES ACROSS NRN INTO
SWRN TX WITH A LOT OF OUTFLOW PRODUCTION. AS A RESULT...THE TORNADO
THREAT HAS DECREASED.

AHEAD OF THE MERGING LINES...A VERY MOIST AND UNSTABLE AIR MASS
REMAINS...AND WILL SUPPORT CONTINUED ROBUST STORM DEVELOPMENT INTO
MUCH OF CNTRL AND SRN TX THIS EVENING. THE HIGH PW ENVIRONMENT AS
WELL AS LINEAR STORM MODE SUGGEST THAT DAMAGING WINDS WILL BE THE
PRIMARY THREAT...BUT A FEW CORES WILL ALSO CONTAIN HAIL. DUE TO THE
MOIST AIR MASS...CAPPING IS EXPECTED TO BE NEGLIGIBLE.
