.WINTER WEATHER TO RETURN TO THE MOUNTAINS AGAIN THIS WEEKEND...

PACIFIC MOISTURE WILL STREAM INTO CENTRAL IDAHO TONIGHT THROUGH
SATURDAY NIGHT BRINGING SNOW TO THE MOUNTAINS. THE HEAVIEST SNOW
IS EXPECTED TO FALL IN THE CENTRAL MOUNTAINS WHERE THE MOISTURE
STREAM INTERACTS WITH THE HIGHER TERRAIN. WARM TEMPERATURES WILL
KEEP THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL ABOVE 7000 FEET...WHERE 5 TO 10 INCHES
IS EXPECTED. 4 TO 8 INCH AMOUNTS ARE ALSO EXPECTED IN THE EASTERN
HIGHLANDS BEGINNING SATURDAY MORNING AND CONTINUING THROUGH
SATURDAY NIGHT.  THE SNOW IN THE CENTRAL MOUNTAINS IS EXPECTED TO
TAPER OFF BY SATURDAY NIGHT AND IN THE EASTERN HIGHLANDS SUNDAY
MORNING. STRONG WINDS AT HIGHER ELEVATIONS MAY RESULT IN BLOWING
AND DRIFTING SNOW.
