EAST CENTRAL LAFOURCHE AND WEST CENTRAL PLAQUEMINES PARISHES THROUGH

...

At 503 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles south of Lafitte, or 11 miles east of Cut Off, moving northeast
at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Port Sulphur, Myrtle Grove, Lafitte, Pointe A La Hache, and
Barataria.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
