This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Upper level low pressure over the Arklatex will continue to drift
off to the southeast today. Numerous showers will continue this
morning before slowly tapering off this afternoon. Widespread heavy
rain and severe weather are not expected today.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday Through Monday

Well above average temperatures are in the forecast Wednesday
through Friday. A storm system will track from the central Plains to
the upper Midwest. The system will drag a cold front through the
region on Friday. Surrounding the front, south to southwest winds
will increase and become gusty.

There will be limited moisture ahead of the front, and some warming
aloft. This will tend to cap the atmosphere, and will not allow
showers to pop up readily. Given this, only isolated showers are in
the forecast in eastern Arkansas.

As winds increase, the fire danger is expected to increase by
Friday. Drought conditions continue in northwest sections of the
state, and this is where the wildfire concern will be greatest.

.Spotter Information Statement...

Spotter activation is not expected in the coming days.
