...WILDFIRE DANGER CONTINUES TO BE A CONCERN...

A DRY AIR MASS WAS BUILDING OVER ARKANSAS EARLY THIS AFTERNOON. AS
OF 1200 PM CST...RELATIVE HUMIDITY LEVELS WERE BELOW 30 PERCENT IN
NORTHERN AND CENTRAL SECTIONS OF THE STATE...AND PARTS OF THE
SOUTHEAST. THIS WAS INCREASING THE FIRE DANGER.

ACCORDING TO THE ARKANSAS FORESTRY COMMISSION...WILDFIRE DANGER
REMAINS MODERATE ACROSS THE ENTIRE STATE. EARLY THIS
AFTERNOON...BURN BANS WERE POSTED IN 12 COUNTIES.

ALSO...AFTER A VERY WET DECEMBER...THERE WAS NOT MUCH PRECIPITATION
IN JANUARY AND THE DRY TREND HAS CONTINUED INTO FEBRUARY.

OUTDOOR BURNING IS STRONGLY DISCOURAGED. IF YOU ARE OUTDOORS...BE
VERY CAREFUL WITH FIRE.
