...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of Chesterfield and
northeastern Kershaw Counties through 345 PM EDT...

At 242 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles west of Cheraw State Park, or 11 miles southwest of Cheraw,
moving north at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Cheraw, Chesterfield, Carolina Sandhills Wildlife Refuge, Cheraw
State Park, Northeastern Technical College, Cheraw Municipal Airport,
Jefferson, Ruby, Patrick, Mount Croghan, McFarlan, Chesterfield Ruby
Middle School, Cheraw Fish Hatchery, Alligator Fire Station,
Middendorf, Bay Springs Fire Station, Chesterfield Detention Center,
and Central High School.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
