...PRELIMINARY STORM SURVEY FROM TORNADO IN CALHOUN COUNTY...

A National Weather Service storm survey team found evidence of a
tornado in Calhoun County, Mississippi, from Sunday`s, April 30,
storm west of Slate Springs.

The tornado damaged destroyed several outbuildings and uprooted
and snapped numerous trees sporadically along the path.

Preliminary survey information shows evidence of a strong EF-0 or
weak EF-1. The team is waiting for more information to do the
final rating and path length and width. There is a possibility of
two short tornadoes or one longer tornado.

A full report and details from the Calhoun County tornado will be
finalized on Wednesday.
