...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Minnesota...

  Minnesota River at Montevideo affecting Chippewa, Lac qui Parle
  and Yellow Medicine Counties.

.High water continues along the Minnesota River near Montevideo due
to recent rainfall. Widespread rain is becoming increasingly likely
late Sunday through Wednesday, which will lead to steady or rising
river levels in the coming days.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Minnesota River at Montevideo.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Low lying areas and some roads along the
  river begin flooding, along with some basements of houses along
  the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 700 PM CDT Saturday, the stage was 14.5 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 700 PM CDT Saturday was 14.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to remain steady around 14.5
    feet through tomorrow. It will then remain steady or rise
    thereafter...depending on how much rain falls early next
    week.
  - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    14.6 feet on 07/26/1962.
