.DISCUSSION...
Cooler conditions; periods of gusty winds over the mountains and
deserts; and periods of showers in and west of the mountains
this weekend. The strongest winds and best chances of
precipitation are late Saturday into early Sunday morning. On
Sunday, highs for inland areas will be 10 to 15, locally up to 20
degrees below average. Strong and gusty southwest to west winds
for the mountains and deserts will peak at 55 to 65 mph, a few
isolated gusts to 70 mph are possible on the desert mountain
slopes of the San Bernardino mountains and near the Gorgonio Pass.
The best chance for wetting rain this weekend will be along the
coastal slopes of the mountains. Warm and dry conditions expected
for much of next week.
