SCATTERED TO NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP THIS
AFTERNOON AND LINGER INTO THE EARLY EVENING. SOME STORMS MAY
BECOME SEVERE WITH THE THREATS OF LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WIND
GUSTS...FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND TORRENTIAL DOWNPOURS. THE BEST
CHANCE OF A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ARE NORTH OF AN OCRACOKE TO NEW
BERN TO KINSTON LINE.
