Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Texas
National Weather Service Houston/Galveston TX
353 AM CDT Tue May 7 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Low clouds, potentially mixed with patchy fog is expected early
this morning. As clouds lift and scatter, warm and humid
conditions are expected this afternoon. Temperatures are forecast
to rise to be in the mid 80s to around 90 away from the Gulf, and
generally in the lower half of the 80s on the water. Continued
onshore winds will keep humidity in place, with afternoon RH
values in the 55 to 60 percent range inland, and 60 to 70 percent
near the coast. Tomorrow looks to be very similar, and perhaps
even slightly hotter with a bit less cloud cover anticipated in
the afternoon.
