Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Wyoming and WRN South Dakota
National Weather Service Rapid City SD
302 PM MDT Thu Apr 25 2024

.DISCUSSION...Numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected to pass
through much of the area through this evening. Stronger storms will
produce heavy rainfall, along with some hail and gusty winds. A slow
moving upper level system will bring fairly widespread rainfall across
the area Friday into Friday night, heaviest from the northern Black
Hills to south central South Dakota. A second system will cross the
region Saturday afternoon into Sunday, bringing additional rainfall,
especially toward south central South Dakota. Cooler and breezy
conditions can be expected Friday through the weekend, with warmer
and gradually drier conditions returning for the first half of next
week.
