A MARINE WEATHER STATEMENT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS...
LAKE MICHIGAN NEARSHORE AND OPEN WATERS TO MID LAKE FROM SHEBOYGAN WI
TO WINTHROP HARBOR IL...

AT 1145 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A COLD FRONT...CAPABLE OF
PRODUCING WIND GUSTS UP TO 28 KNOTS. THIS FRONT WAS LOCATED ALONG
A LINE FROM NEAR FOND DU LAC TO OOSTBURG...EXTENDING OVER
THE NEAR SHORE AND OPEN WATERS OF LAKE MICHIGAN.

THE COLD FRONT WAS MOVING SOUTH AT 15 KNOTS.  LIGHT SOUTHWEST WINDS
AHEAD OF THE FRONT WILL ABRUPTLY TURN TO THE NORTHEAST AND INCREASE
TO 10 TO 20 KNOTS WITH A FEW WIND GUSTS TO 28 KNOTS.

THE FRONT WILL BE NEAR...
PORT WASHINGTON AROUND 1200 AM CDT.
MILWAUKEE AROUND 100 AM CDT.
KENOSHA AROUND 3 AM CDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS UP TO 30 KNOTS AND LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THESE
STORMS PASS.
