URGENT - MARINE WEATHER MESSAGE

...INCREASING NORTHWEST WINDS TODAY...

.A TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE WILL EXIT THE LAKE MICHIGAN AREA THIS
MORNING. A TEMPORARY LULL IN THE WINDS IS EXPECTED... WHICH WILL
ALLOW WAVE HEIGHTS TO DECREASE.

NORTHWEST WINDS WILL INCREASE AGAIN BY MID-MORNING AS THE TROUGH
MOVES OFF TO THE EAST. WIND SPEEDS WILL AGAIN INCREASE TO SMALL
CRAFT ADVISORY LEVELS LATE THIOS MORNING...WITH A FEW GALE FORCE
GUSTS POSSIBLE.

...SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST FRIDAY...

* WINDS: WINDS WILL DIMINISH EARLY THIS MORNING AND VEER TO THE
  SOUTHWEST...THEN BECOME NORTHWEST AND INCREASE TO 30 KNOTS
  AROUND MID-MORNING AND CONTINUE INTO TONIGHT.

* WAVES: 3 TO 4 FEET INCREASING TO 3 TO 6 FEET BY AFTERNOON.
  THE HIGHER WAVES WILL BE TOWARD OPEN WATERS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY MEANS THAT WIND SPEEDS OF 23 TO 33 KNOTS
AND/OR WAVES GREATER THAN 4 FEET ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE
HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS TO SMALL CRAFT. INEXPERIENCED MARINERS...
ESPECIALLY THOSE OPERATING SMALLER VESSELS SHOULD AVOID
NAVIGATING IN THESE CONDITIONS.
