URGENT - MARINE WEATHER MESSAGE

...STRONG WINDS TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY...

.BRISK SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL PRODUCE LARGE WAVES OVERNIGHT AS LOW
PRESSURE APPROACHES FROM THE SOUTHWEST. THERE WILL BE A BRIEF
LULL TO THE WINDS AS THE LOW CROSSES NORTHEAST ILLINOIS AND
SOUTHERN LAKE MICHIGAN LATE TONIGHT. THEN WINDS WILL SHIFT WEST TO
SOUTHWEST AND INCREASE TO ADVISORY LEVELS AS THE LOW MOVES INTO
LOWER MICHIGAN BY WEDNESDAY MORNING. THE TIGHT GRADIENT AROUND THE
DEPARTING LOW WILL KEEP THE WEST/SOUTHWEST WINDS GUSTY UNTIL
WEDNESDAY EVENING.

  BY MIDNIGHT. WINDS EASE TO 10 TO 20 KNOTS AND SHIFT WEST
  OVERNIGHT AND INCREASE TO 15 TO 25 KNOTS EARLY WEDNESDAY
  MORNING...BECOMING WEST 10 TO 15 KNOTS WEDNESDAY EVENING.

* WAVES: 1 TO 3 FEET BUILDING TO 5 TO 7 FEET TONIGHT...THEN
  SUBSIDING TO 2 TO 4 FEET LATE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY MEANS THAT WIND SPEEDS OF 23 TO 33 KNOTS
AND/OR WAVES GREATER THAN 4 FEET ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE
HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS TO SMALL CRAFT. INEXPERIENCED MARINERS...
ESPECIALLY THOSE OPERATING SMALLER VESSELS SHOULD AVOID
NAVIGATING IN THESE CONDITIONS.
