URGENT - MARINE WEATHER MESSAGE

...GUSTY WINDS TO CONTINUE OVERNIGHT...

.STRONG SOUTH TO SOUTHEAST WINDS AND HIGH WAVES WILL PERSIST TONIGHT.
A FRONT EXTENDING FROM NORTHERN PLAINS LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE
ACROSS THE REGION OVERNIGHT. THE WINDS WILL SWITCH TO THE
SOUTHWEST AFTER THE FRONT PASSES BY AND REMAIN GUSTY.

AS WINDS BECOME MORE OFFSHORE...WAVE HEIGHTS WILL SLOWLY DIMINISH
DURING THE LATE NIGHT AND EARLY MORNING. THE GALE FORCE WINDS
WILL DIMINISH BEHIND THE FRONTAL PASSAGE LATE TONIGHT.
HOWEVER...SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL STILL BE GUSTY INTO TUESDAY WITH
SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY LEVELS LIKELY.

* WINDS: SOUTH TO SOUTHEAST WINDS 15 TO 25 KNOTS WITH A FEW GALE
  FORCE GUSTS TO 35 KNOTS. WINDS WILL SHIFT SOUTHWEST 15 TO 25
  KNOTS BY EARLY TUESDAY MORNING.

* WAVES: WAVES 4 TO 8 FEET SUBSIDING TO 3 TO 6 FEET LATE TONIGHT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A GALE WARNING MEANS WINDS OF 34 TO 47 KNOTS ARE IMMINENT OR
OCCURING. OPERATING A VESSEL IN GALE CONDITIONS REQUIRES
EXPERIENCE AND PROPERLY EQUIPPED VESSELS. IT IS HIGHLY
RECOMMENDED THAT MARINERS WITHOUT THE PROPER EXPERIENCE SEEK SAFE
HARBOR PRIOR TO THE ONSET OF GALE CONDITIONS.
