GALES POSSIBLE MONDAY...

AS LOW PRESSURE APPROACHES TODAY...INCREASING SOUTH TO SOUTHEAST
WINDS WILL BUILD HIGH WAVES...RESULTING IN SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY
CONDITIONS. WINDS AND WAVES WILL SUBSIDE FOR A TIME TONIGHT.

AS THE LOW STRENGTHENS AND HEADS NORTH OF THE AREA MONDAY...
WESTERLY GALE FORCE WINDS WILL BE POSSIBLE. A GALE WATCH IS IN
EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH THROUGH MONDAY EVENING. WITH
THE OFFSHORE WIND COMPONENT THE HIGHEST WAVES WILL BUILD UP
TOWARDS THE OPEN WATERS.

* WAVES: BUILD TO 3 TO 5 FEET TODAY...THEN DIMINISH TONIGHT.
  WAVES THEN BUILD TO 3 TO 6 FEET MONDAY AND MONDAY EVENING...
  WITH THE HIGHEST WAVES TOWARDS OPEN WATERS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A GALE WATCH IS ISSUED WHEN THE RISK OF GALE FORCE WINDS OF 34 TO
47 KNOTS HAS SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED...BUT THE SPECIFIC TIMING
AND/OR LOCATION IS STILL UNCERTAIN. IT IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE
ADDITIONAL LEAD TIME FOR MARINERS WHO MAY WISH TO CONSIDER
ALTERING THEIR PLANS.

A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY MEANS THAT WIND SPEEDS OF 23 TO 33 KNOTS
AND/OR WAVES GREATER THAN 4 FEET ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE
HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS TO SMALL CRAFT. INEXPERIENCED MARINERS...
ESPECIALLY THOSE OPERATING SMALLER VESSELS SHOULD AVOID
NAVIGATING IN THESE CONDITIONS.
