URGENT - MARINE WEATHER MESSAGE

...BLUSTERY WINDS AND HIGH WAVES TO CONTINUE THROUGH THURSDAY
NIGHT...

.A LOW PRESSURE AREAS WILL MOVE EAST ACROSS ILLINOIS TONIGHT AND
ACROSS LAKE MICHIGAN EARLY THURSDAY. THE TIGHT PRESSURE GRADIENT
AHEAD OF THE LOW WILL CONTINUE TO CAUSE GUSTY SOUTH TO SOUTHEAST
WINDS INTO THE OVERNIGHT AND RESULT IN HIGH WAVES.

AS THE LOW PRESSURE MOVES ACROSS LAKE MICHIGAN DURING THE LATE
OVERNIGHT HOURS...A TEMPORARY LULL IN THE WINDS IS EXPECTED...
WHICH WILL ALLOW WAVE HEIGHTS TO DECREASE.

NORTHWEST WINDS WILL INCREASE AGAIN BY MID-MORNING THURSDAY
AS THE LOW MOVES OFF TO THE EAST. WIND SPEEDS WILL INCREASE TO
SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY LEVELS...WITH A FEW GALE FORCE GUSTS
POSSIBLE...AND PERSIST THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT.

A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT THROUGH EARLY FRIDAY

  KNOTS. WINDS WILL DIMINISH VERY LATE TONIGHT AND EARLY THURSDAY
  MORNING AND VEER TO THE SOUTHWEST...THEN BECOME NORTHWEST AND
  INCREASE TO 30 KNOTS AROUND MID-MORNING THURSDAY INTO THURSDAY
  NIGHT.

* WAVES: 4 TO 8 FEET THIS EVENING...DECREASING TO 3 TO 6 FEET
  LATE TONIGHT AND THURSDAY MORNING.

A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY MEANS THAT WIND SPEEDS OF 23 TO 33 KNOTS
AND/OR WAVES GREATER THAN 4 FEET ARE EXPECTED TO PRODUCE
HAZARDOUS CONDITIONS TO SMALL CRAFT. INEXPERIENCED MARINERS...
ESPECIALLY THOSE OPERATING SMALLER VESSELS SHOULD AVOID
NAVIGATING IN THESE CONDITIONS.
