...SOUTH GALES AND HIGH WAVES THROUGH TONIGHT...

.STRONG SOUTH TO SOUTHEAST WINDS AND HIGH WAVES WILL PERSIST INTO
TONIGHT. A TRAILING COLD FRONT WILL THEN MOVE ACROSS LAKE MICHIGAN
AFTER MIDNIGHT. THE GALE FORCE WINDS WILL DIMINISH BEHIND THE
FRONTAL PASSAGE LATE TONIGHT. HOWEVER...SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL STILL
BE GUSTY INTO TUESDAY WITH SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY LEVELS LIKELY.

* WINDS: SOUTH TO SOUTHEAST WINDS 20 TO 25 KNOTS WITH GALE FORCE
  GUSTS TO 35 KNOTS THROUGH THIS EVENING. WINDS WILL SHIFT
  SOUTHWEST 15 TO 25 KNOTS BY EARLY TUESDAY MORNING.

* WAVES: WAVES 5 TO 8 FEET. WAVES SUBSIDING TO 3 TO 6 FEET LATE
  TONIGHT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A GALE WARNING MEANS WINDS OF 34 TO 47 KNOTS ARE IMMINENT OR
OCCURING. OPERATING A VESSEL IN GALE CONDITIONS REQUIRES
EXPERIENCE AND PROPERLY EQUIPPED VESSELS. IT IS HIGHLY
RECOMMENDED THAT MARINERS WITHOUT THE PROPER EXPERIENCE SEEK SAFE
HARBOR PRIOR TO THE ONSET OF GALE CONDITIONS.
