...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT LAFAYETTE...
NORTHWESTERN GREEN...SOUTHERN IOWA AND SOUTHWESTERN DANE COUNTIES...

At 847 PM CDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from 6 miles north of Belmont to near
Sageville. Movement was east at 50 mph.

Another thunderstorm was over northeast Lafayette and southeast Iowa
counties, moving the east.

Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail are possible with these
storms.

Locations impacted include...
Verona, Mineral Point, Darlington, Shullsburg, Belmont, Benton,
Argyle, Blanchardville, Wiota, New Diggings, Lamont, Rewey,
Hollandale, Gratiot, Mount Vernon, Yellowstone Lake St Park, Platte
Mounds, Lead Mine and Leslie.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
