URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...BAND OF MODERATE SNOWFALL NOW SHIFTING SOUTH...

.A BAND OF MODERATE LAKE EFFECT SNOWFALL EXTENDED FROM THE
NEARSHORE WATERS JUST EAST OF OAK CREEK SOUTH TO SOUTHWEST INTO
EASTERN RACINE AND KENSOSHA COUNTIES. THE BAND WAS MOVING SOUTH
TO SOUTHWEST AT 25 MPH BUT WAS BEGINNING TO SHIFT SOUTHWARD AS THE
UPPER LEVEL STEERING WINDS BECOME MORE NORTH TO NORTHWEST.

THE BAND OF MODERATE SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO SHIFT SOUTH OF
MILWAUKEE COUNTY BY 830 AM CST THIS MORNING BUT WILL CONTINUE IN
EASTERN PARTS OF RACINE AND KENOSHA COUNTIES THROUGH 10 AM.

TOTAL SNOWFALL OF 3 TO 6 INCHES IS EXPECTED FROM PARTS OF EASTERN
MILWAUKEE TO OAK CREEK...WIND POINT...UNION GROVE... BRISTOL...
RACINE AND KENOSHA THROUGH THE MID-MORNING.

THE FLUFFY SNOWFALL AND COLD TEMPERATURES WILL RESULT IN SNOW
COVERED ROADS AND HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS. SLOW DOWN AND
DRIVE CAUTIOUSLY THIS MORNING.

  POINT...AND PORTIONS OF RACINE AND KENOSHA.

* WINDS...NORTH 10 TO 20 MPH.

* IMPACTS...SNOW COVERED ROADS AND WALKS CREATING HAZARDOUS
  TRAVEL CONDITIONS.

A LAKE EFFECT SNOW ADVISORY MEANS LAKE-EFFECT SNOW IS FORECAST
THAT WILL MAKE TRAVEL DIFFICULT IN SOME AREAS. LAKE-EFFECT SNOW
SHOWERS TYPICALLY ALIGN THEMSELVES IN BANDS AND WILL LIKELY BE
INTENSE ENOUGH TO DROP SEVERAL INCHES IN LOCALIZED AREAS. USE
CAUTION WHEN TRAVELING.
