URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...ICE AND SNOW INTO TONIGHT...

.Strong low pressure passing by just to the south of Wisconsin is
expected to bring snow and ice accumulations to southern
Wisconsin through tonight. The highest snow and ice totals are
likely along and north of a line from Mineral Point to Madison to
Port Washington.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST
SATURDAY...

a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 AM CST
Saturday.

* TIMING...A wintry mix including freezing drizzle with a
  changeover to snow this evening. Snow will taper off from west
  to east early Saturday morning.

* SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS...Additional snow accumulations of 1
  to 3 inches and ice accumulations of .10 to .20 inches are
  expected.

* WINDS / VISIBILITIES...Northeast winds gusting as high as 30
  mph, becoming north and then northwest this evening and night.
  Visibilities of 1/2 mile to 1 mile are possible in areas of
  moderate snowfall overnight.

* IMPACTS...The ice and snow will likely result in difficult
  travel conditions, including the evening and morning commutes.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow...sleet or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while
