WISCONSIN WEATHER SUMMARY

.YESTERDAY...LOW PRESSURE TRACKED FROM THE NORTHERN PLAINS INTO
MINNESOTA. AN ASSOCIATED WARM FRONT MOVED NORTH THROUGH
WISCONSIN...WITH SOUTHERLY WINDS BRINGING WARM AND HUMID AIR INTO
THE REGION. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPED IN THE
AFTERNOON...WITH SOME PRODUCING HEAVY RAINFALL. TEMPERATURES WERE
MILD...WITH HIGHS IN THE 70S NORTH TO LOWER 80S SOUTH. THE EXCEPTION
WAS NEAR THE GREAT LAKES...WHERE COOLER READINGS PREVAILED.

.OVERNIGHT...SKIES WERE PARTLY CLOUDY ACROSS THE BADGERLAND DURING
THE OVERNIGHT HOURS. A FEW SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS AFFECTED MAINLY
NORTHERN WISCONSIN. TEMPERATURES DROPPED OFF INTO THE UPPER 40S
TO UPPER 40S IN THE NORTHWEST WITH 60S ELSEWHERE.

.FORECAST...A STRONG LOW PRESSURE AREA WILL MOVE ACROSS LAKE
SUPERIOR TODAY. A COLD FRONT EXTENDING FROM THE LOW WILL CONTINUE TO
MOVE ACROSS THE BADGERLAND TODAY. COOL TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED
OVER THE NORTHWEST HALF OF THE STATE AND STATEWIDE ON TUESDAY.
MEANWHILE RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS ARE POSSIBLE OVER FAR NORTHERN
WISCONSIN TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY. HIGH PRESSURE WILL THEN PREVAIL THE
REMAINDER OF THE WEEK WITH SLOWLY WARMING TEMPERATURES.
