ALABAMA...SOUTHWEST ALABAMA...NORTHWEST FLORIDA AND SOUTHEAST
MISSISSIPPI.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A STRONG UPPER SYSTEM WILL PASS NORTHWEST OF THE AREA LATER TODAY
THROUGH TONIGHT...BRINGING A SLIGHT RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER TO
NORTHWESTERN PORTIONS OF THE AREA...MAINLY TONIGHT. A MARGINAL RISK
OF SEVERE WEATHER IS EXPECTED OVER THE REST OF THE AREA. DAMAGING
WINDS ARE THE PRIMARY THREAT...WITH TIMING AT THIS POINT FOR THE
AREA BEING BETWEEN 9 PM AND 3 AM TONIGHT.

WITH THE EXTENDED PERIOD OF DRY CONDITIONS RESULTING IN COMPACT
SOILS DUE TO SEVERE TO EXTREME DROUGHT...ANY HEAVY RAINFALL NEXT
WEEK COULD LEAD TO AN INCREASED POTENTIAL OF RUNOFF AND LOCALIZED
FLOODING.

THERE IS A HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS TODAY THROUGH TONIGHT FOR THE
GULF BEACHES OF ALABAMA AND NORTHWEST FLORIDA.

THERE IS A HIGH SURF ADVISORY THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT FOR THE
GULF BEACHES OF ALABAMA AND NORTHWEST FLORIDA.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY

THE CHANCE OF RAIN WILL DECREASE INTO EARLY TUEDAY, THEN INCREASE
TUESDAY NIGHT THOUGH WEDNESDAY AS ANOTHER UPPER SYSTEM PASSES OVER
THE AREA. A MARGINAL RISK OF SEVERE WEATHER IS POSSIBLE...WITH
DAMAGING WINDS AGAIN THE PRIMARY THREAT.
