...HIGH RISK OF RIP CURRENTS ALONG FRANKLIN COUNTY BEACHES
TODAY...

.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...

Slightly elevated surf and strong longshore winds will result in a
high risk of deadly rip currents along Franklin county beaches
today. Otherwise, highs will peak in the upper 60s with at least
light rain from time to time along Panhandle and especially Big
Bend beaches.

Water Temperature:
71 degrees at Panama City Beach.
62 degrees at the FSU Coastal and Marine Lab near Apalachicola.

the current. Swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable
to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help. If tired, float
or tread water until out of the rip current. Always heed the advice
of the local beach patrol and consult the local beach flag system. If
in doubt, don`t go out.
