...River Statement For The Tombigbee River...



Heavy rainfall on Saturday is producing rises on the Tombigbee
River.  However...levels are expected to remain below established
flood stages...and any overflow along the river should be of a
minor nature.

The Tombigbee River At Bevill Lock and Dam.
 Latest Stage:     119.6 Feet AT 8 AM Sunday.
 Flood Stage:      122.0 Feet.
 Forecast:         Crest near 120.4 Feet this evening
                   and then begin to fall.

* Impact...At 122.0 feet...Cattle in low-lying areas of Southern
  Pickens County should be moved to higher ground. Cattle are cutoff
  in lowlands of Southern Pickens County at stages above 122 feet.

statements concerning this event.

Another statement will be issued Monday morning...or sooner if
conditions warrant.
